Inspiration from Darwin’s diaries: Sally Osberg’s thoughts
Sally Osberg, CEO of the Skoll Foundation, ends the awards ceremony of the 2009 Skoll Awards for Social Entrepreneurship. She quotes Darwin, then says, “We are heading towards a brighter future and a better world. The 800 women and men in this world will recruit 8000 then 8 million then 8 billion and then we will make landfall for that brave new world we see so clearly…”

Let me also take this opportunity to acknowledge my Skoll Foundation family: our extraordinary Board of Directors, beginning with Jeff, Jim DeMartini, Debra Dunn, Peter Hero, Kirk Hanson, Roger Martin and Larry Brilliant. Would you please all stand staff all the staff members thank you all of you knowing this was the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth, I thought there might be some interesting bits in his diary, something to leave us with says from March 24th, 25th, and 26th, during his first year out in 1832.
