Viwe Mgudlwa is a Site Coordinator at the mothers2mothers (m2m) site in the township of Khayelitsha, West Cape, South Africa. Viwe first joined m2m as a client when she learned she was positive during ante-natal care. At m2m she attended support groups and received treatment to ensure her baby was born HIV-negative. In 2007, Viwe became a Mentor Mother at the very clinic she received her treatment. She was soon promoted to Site Coordinator managing other Mentor Mothers who provide support to HIV-positive pregnant women on all issues around PMTCT.
