Sue Riddlestone is Chief Executive and co-founder of BioRegional Development Group, an international award winning social enterprise which she co-founded with her husband Pooran Desai in 1994. Sue and her team work with partners to introduce sustainable "one planet living" communities around the world including the BedZED eco-village in London: and with companies, such as DIY giant B&Q, to green their operations and develop sustainable products and services. BioRegional established sustainable businesses in property development, recycling and local products. BioRegional has offices or sister organisations in the UK, North America, Australia, China, Greece, Mexico, Brazil and South Africa. In 2009 Sue won a prestigious Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, followed in 2011 by Schwab Foundation and Ernst & Young social entrepreneur awards. Sue was honoured by the Queen with an OBE in 2013 for services to sustainable business and to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
