With John Goldstein, Andrew Farnum, William Foote, Muhammad A. Rumee Ali during Building The Conveyor Belt: A Collaborative Approach For Lifecycle Funding, 2011
Social entrepreneurs are often presented with funding opportunities that undermine their ability to sustain and scale impact – resulting in stranded innovations that fail to make a real difference. In contrast, some venture capitalists have developed a ‘conveyer belt’ approach, taking companies from angel financed startup directly to IPO. This session will explore ways that funders, investors, and social entrepreneurs can work together over the lifecycle of an organisation to maximise the chances of breakthrough success.
